Romy, can you tell at this point if the driver, operating points, or the particular 45s are "at fault" here, and/or all are in sync? The only "magic" I noticed from the few 45s I have heard (but not seriously played with...) was the uncanny sens...

Are you decrying the use of field coils per se? A friend has been experimenting with them in a specific utilisation and has had very promising results....
